Father Pablo Straub, C.SS.R., is a Missionary priest of St. Alphonsus’ Redemptorist Order and was ordained in the Hudson Valley in 1958.

Father Pablo spent 24 years evangelizing Puerto Rico, the Philippines and Peru. Over the years God has sent him to the shores of Lake Titicaca giving retreats to the Inca Indians; to the streets of Manila preaching Father Peyton’s Family Prayer Crusade; to the engendering, in three countries, of youth and marriage communities that evangelize. Father Pablo has lived these last 22 years on the lower Pacific coast of rural Mexico, where he is the founder of two new Religious Orders, one Order of Brothers --priests and future priests-- and the other of Sisters.

The Consecrates of the Most Holy Savior are contemplative and missionary; both Orders are highly approved by the Church. Young people from Mexico, Central and South America and the U.S. are coming forward and asking what they must do to join the new religious Orders. For this reason, Father Pablo is actively engaged in building, at a point two miles from the Pacific upon the foothills of the Sierra Madre, a seminary-MotherHouse for the future priests’ Order and a convent-MotherHouse for the Sisters’ Order. Currently, the Missionary Sisters are sleeping in a temporary convent, two or three to a tiny plywood room; and for years the future priests slept in the classroom building. Father Pablo directs Missions, retreats and Marian Eucharistic Conferences in the U.S. and Mexico. He is a frequently seen on Mother Angelica’s EWTN network and on Mexican Catholic television.

He adores Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, loves the Virgin Mary, obeys the Pope, hears confessions on Missions from sun-up and beyond midnight, preaches with a quiet passion born of love and finds time to write an occasional Catholic tract for lay folk. He is quite perfectly bilingual, and even in Spanish, his mother’s Irish humor comes through. People who wish to learn more about the Orders or offer help (financially or with their talents) for the construction of the seminary-MotherHouse and the convent-MotherHouse can contact Father Pablo’s office in the U.S., or donate on this Web site.

The U.S. office of the Consecrates of the Most Holy Savior is registered with the Catholic Church in the United States in the Official Catholic Directory, under the Diocese of Las Cruces, New Mexico and that has given us benefit of being part of the group ruling 501(c)3 tax number of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  In addition, we are also a Religious Order which meets the definition of a “church” according to the IRS regulations.  And, churches, including Religious Orders, automatically have status as a 501(c)3 organization even absent applying for this status, and even absent having been given a letter from the IRS confirming such status.  According to IRS Publication 1828:  “Recognition of Tax-Exempt Status Automatic Exemption for Churches. Churches that meet the requirements of IRC section 501(c)(3) are automatically considered tax exempt and are not required to apply for and obtain recognition of tax-exempt status from the IRS.” Click HERE for that publication
